Graduate Degrees (Master or Doctoral)

(Includes: Master or Doctorate Degree in Theology, Divinity or Ministry)
For those with an earned Bachelor degree, or the equivalent, ten of the classes below are needed for a Masters, plus the thesis. For those who have an earned Master degree, or the equivalent, eight classes are needed for a Doctorate, plus the dissertation. The student chooses the courses appropriate to the degree emphasis from the list below.

There are Doctor of Theology, Ministry or Divinity programs. You may choose any of the courses below for the emphasis that you desire. If it is in Theology or Ministry, 50% of your course load must be in are of emphasis. For example, if it is in "Counseling" then you need at least half of your classes in counseling. If you are a Doctor of Divinity candidate you must take at least one course from each of the categories below.

Degrees in "Ministry" requires that you take some practical courses on ministry plus an extra "practicum" if you have no ministry experience.

Ministry Experience and Qualification for Concurrent programs: Summit does credit ministry experience and coursework from other colleges. Students may qualify for a concurrent program. Please submit a ministry experience form from the catalog or our website.
